Socialite and businessman, Cubana Chief Priest, has denied participating in the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primary for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency in Imo State.

In a lengthy statement shared on Instagram, Cubana Chief Priest revealed that after consultations with Hope Uzodimma, the party adopted a zoning arrangement which favoured the incumbent lawmaker.

According to him, Governor Uzodimma argued that Orlu LGA should complete at least two terms before the seat rotates to another local government area. He added that he respected the party’s position and immediately withdrew from the race.

The businessman stressed that he never appeared at the primary venue and returned to Lagos once the party communicated its decision ahead of the exercise.

Cubana Chief Priest also slammed what he described as “misinformation and online propaganda,” insisting he owes nobody over his political ambition and remains proud of the political awareness his movement created across the constituency.

He reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC and pledged continued support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Renewed Hope agenda ahead of the 2027 elections.

Reports, however, claim the Imo State Coordinator of the City Boy Movement scored 14 votes in the primary election.
