The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has officially increased the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, for its customers.
This adjustment was disclosed in an email statement on Friday, indicating that the refined product will now be sold at N955 per litre at the loading gantry. Marketers purchasing between 2 million and 4.99 million litres will pay N955 per litre, while those buying 5 million litres and above will pay a slightly lower rate of N950 per litre.
The new pricing marks a rise of N55.5 or 6.17% from the previous price of N899.50 per litre, set in December 2024.
According to the refinery’s notification:
“Effective from 5:30 PM today, there is an upward adjustment in the gantry price of Premium Motor Spirit.”
Revised Pricing Details:
- Quantity: 2 million – 4.99 million litres
- Previous Price: N899.50 per litre
- New Price: N955 per litre
- Quantity: 5 million litres & above
- Previous Price: N895 per litre
- New Price: N950 per litre
The refinery also clarified that all stock balances awaiting dispatch as of the stated time would be repriced at the new rates. Customers will be informed of their revised volumes based on the updated pricing in due course.
This adjustment underscores the refinery’s commitment to aligning its operations with evolving market dynamics.
