- Total Reduction Hits ₦195 Since December
Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a ₦65 per litre reduction in the ex-depot (gantry) price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol. The price drop, from ₦890 to ₦825 per litre, takes effect Thursday, February 27, 2025.
According to the refinery’s management, this latest price adjustment aims to ease the financial burden on Nigerians, particularly ahead of the Ramadan season.
With this reduction, the new petrol prices at partner retail stations will be as follows:
- Lagos: ₦860 per litre
- South-West: ₦870 per litre
- North: ₦880 per litre
- South-South/South-East: ₦890 per litre
This marks the second fuel price slash in February 2025, following an earlier ₦60 reduction at the start of the month.
In December 2024, the refinery also implemented a ₦70.50 cut, bringing the price from ₦970 to ₦899.50 per litre. With the latest adjustment, Dangote Refinery has now slashed petrol prices by a total of ₦195 in just three months.
