DATE FOR 2023–2024 POST–UTME SCREENING ANNOUNCED BY UNILAG

The start of online registration for the Post-UTME Screening Exercise for admission into all courses and programs has been announced by the University of Lagos (UNILAG).

On July 10 and July 28, the 2023–2024 entrance exercise screening is set to start.

This was revealed in a statement released on Monday by Ladj Azeez, the registrar and secretary of the UNILAG council.

Candidates must have made the University of Lagos their top choice in the 2023/2024 UTME and have a score of 200 or higher, according to Azeez, in order to be eligible for screening.

Candidates, according to Azeez, must have earned five credit passes in all applicable O/level courses, including English Language and Mathematics, in a single sitting.

Only applicants who uploaded their O/Level results to the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) by Sunday, August 13 or earlier will be taken into consideration for admission, he claimed.

Azeez further clarified that applicants must be sixteen years of age or older by Tuesday, October 31 in order to be considered for admission. He also said that applicants who choose not to take part in the Post-UTME Screening will not be taken into consideration.

“Former University students whose applications were withdrawn due to poor academic standing or an absence status may reapply, provided that the new admission is for a new program/course that is distinct from the prior program/course,

Any student who has been expelled from the university is not eligible for re-admission.

According to the institution, the screening cost is 2,000. Eligible candidates should visit the institution of Lagos website (www.unilag.edu.ng) to complete the registration process.

Additionally, he mentioned that the online aptitude test for the post-UTME will take place from Monday, July 31, through Friday, August 4.

However, the university representative urged applicants to strictly abide by the rules and ask for any clarifications that they might need, noting that the school has a zero-tolerance policy for drug abuse and will revoke the admission of any newly admitted student who tests positive for drug use, whether before or after registration.
