Davido Credits Babcock University for Shaping His Music Career

Afrobeats star has credited with shaping both his life and music career.

Speaking during a visit to his alma mater, the singer said graduating from the university remains one of his proudest achievements in an industry where many artistes never completed their education.

“Babcock University shaped my career. I always tell my colleagues that I went to school and graduated. Not everyone who started school finished,” he said.

Davido earned a degree in music from the institution after his father insisted he complete his education before fully pursuing music.

The singer also revealed that he met his wife, Chioma Adeleke, while studying at the university.

Several of Davido’s hit songs were released during his time as a student, helping launch the career that would later make him one of Africa’s biggest music stars.
