“Day3 Nationwide Protests: Human Rights Lawyer Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa Urges Youths to Shift from Demonstrations to Dialogue with Government”

In a statement released on Friday, Adegboruwa addressed the disruption of the protests, stating that the original purpose of the demonstration had been undermined by “sponsored agents” who hijacked the event.

He explained, “While the organizers aimed for a peaceful and well-coordinated protest, it appears that 5th columnists and some disgruntled individuals infiltrated the protesters’ ranks, derailing their noble mission.”

Adegboruwa urged the protesters to immediately and indefinitely withdraw from their demonstration sites to allow for meaningful dialogue and engagement with the government. He emphasized that, given the hijacking by external agents, it is crucial to prevent further losses and casualties.

“The protest organizers and their representatives should now seek dialogue with the government,” he advised.
