…Midfielder backs club’s ambitious project
…Urges Conte to bring in Jack Grealish

New Napoli signing, Kevin De Bruyne, has revealed why he chose to join the Serie A champions during the summer transfer window.

The Belgian midfield maestro left Manchester City a few days ago to begin a new chapter in Naples, and he’s already speaking highly of the club’s direction.

Addressing journalists ahead of Napoli’s pre-season friendly against Arezzo on Tuesday, De Bruyne described his excitement about the move, stressing that he was drawn to the club’s ambition and fast-paced development.

“I decided to join Napoli as the project is ambitious. I can feel the club is progressing fast,” De Bruyne said, as quoted by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

“My excitement was clear when Napoli presented me with their project and vision. I feel here we can be competitive, that’s what I wanted.”

His arrival has sparked optimism among Napoli fans and added fuel to the club’s transfer momentum. De Bruyne has also urged Napoli boss Antonio Conte to bring in his former Manchester City teammate, Jack Grealish, as the club continues to build a formidable squad ahead of the new season.

If the club succeeds in signing Grealish, it could further cement Napoli’s intentions to compete not just domestically, but across Europe.
