Alhaji Muhammad Manir Dan’Iya, the deputy governor of Sokoto State, has refuted rumors that he has joined the opposition All Progressive Congress.
Aminu Abdullahi Abubakar, his director of press, stated in a statement on Thursday that the rumor was the product of the writer of the alleged letter of defection.
According to Abdullahi, the Deputy Governor was still a genuine PDP supporter and a staunch ally of Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.
The general population was urged to ignore the letter, he said.
