The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for governor of Katsina State, Dikko Umar Radda, has been proclaimed the victor by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Umar-Radda received 859,892 votes to win the election, according to the Returning Officer for the state gubernatorial election, Prof. Ma’azu Abubakar Gusau, who announced the results on Sunday, March 19.

With 486,620 votes, Yakubu Lado-Danmarke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came in second.
