On Tuesday, Osun State Governor Senator Ademola Adeleke gave his approval for the state’s non-statutory boards to be dissolved.

Teslim Igbalaye, the secretary to the state government, signed a document to the heads of ministries, departments, and agencies that contained the instruction to dissolve the boards.

However, the Board of Osun State University was spared from the decree of dissolution.

The memo stated, in part, that all non-statutory bodies, commissions, and parastatals in the state—with the exception of UNIOSUN—were hereby disbanded immediately as a result of the announcement made by Governor Adeleke on Sunday, November 27, 2022.

Therefore, all accounting officers of such boards, parastatals, and commissions need to assume responsibility right away.
