Dr. Stanley Uzochukwu, Chairman of Stanel Group and Founder of the Stanley Uzochukwu Foundation, has made a patriotic appeal to Nigerians, urging them to stand in solidarity with the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, and the Nigerian Armed Forces.
In a personally signed statement on Saturday titled, “Standing Strong With General Christopher Musa: A Beacon Of Courage In Nigeria’s Fight Against Terrorism,” Dr. Uzochukwu emphasized the need for unity in supporting the nation’s military leadership.
His statement follows revelations made by General Musa at the inaugural annual lecture of the Alumni Association of the National Institute for Security Studies (AANISS) in Abuja. The military chief disclosed that he and half of his team were denied visas by the Canadian Embassy, raising concerns about international cooperation in Nigeria’s security efforts.
Reacting to the development, Dr. Uzochukwu praised General Musa’s resilience, describing him as a leader who rises above challenges with unwavering courage. “In moments of adversity, true leaders are defined—not by their words but by their boldness. General Christopher Musa epitomizes this truth. His call for national unity at the AANISS event in Abuja strikes a chord in a nation striving for peace,” he declared.
The business magnate also referenced General Musa’s recent interview with Al Jazeera, where the CDS boldly addressed the financial networks sustaining terrorism. “For over 15 years, Boko Haram’s terror has not been fueled by ideology alone but by hidden financial sponsors. If we cut off their funding, we end this war,” Musa had stated, urging the United Nations to take decisive action.
Dr. Uzochukwu underscored the urgency of this fight, citing U.S. Congressman Scott Perry’s recent revelation that USAID funds intended for humanitarian purposes were allegedly diverted to terrorist organizations. This, he said, validates General Musa’s claims and highlights the need for global accountability.
“General Musa’s courage to ‘speak truth to power’ despite diplomatic consequences marks him as a true patriot. In a world where silence is often the safer choice, he chooses to defend Nigeria’s sovereignty with boldness,” Uzochukwu asserted.
Calling on Nigerians to rally behind the nation’s armed forces, he urged citizens to show support through prayers, advocacy, and faith in those risking their lives for national security. “Nigeria’s strength is not in the absence of fear but in the resolve to confront it. Let us stand together, unwavering in our support for General Musa and the gallant men and women safeguarding our nation’s future.”
He concluded with a heartfelt prayer: “May God bless our Armed Forces, General Musa, and the indomitable spirit of Nigeria. Together, we shall prevail.”
