During a fight in Adamawa, a man was arrested for killing a baby and harming the child’s mother.

A 40-year-old man named Barnabas Abduneza has been detained by police in Adamawa State in connection with the murder of a child.

The suspect, a resident of Kpasham village in the state’s Demsa LGA, was detained on September 29 as a result of reliable information. He was supposed to have attacked the deceased’s mother and her in Kadamti village, killing the infant and seriously injuring the mother.

SP Suleiman Nguroje, the command’s spokeswoman, said in a statement on Saturday that the suspect had been found to have a black face mask, a few bows and arrows, and other potentially hazardous weapons.
