Ijeboi Dennis, a fictitious FBI commander, has been charged in court by EFCC agents for alleged wire fraud involving $2.8 million.

On Thursday, November 17, before Justice Abubakar Baba Shani of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court in Apo, Abuja, Dennis and his partner, Obade Monday, were charged.

Dennis (also known as Andrew Tran Huynh) and Monday had made up identities as FBI commander and Diplomat Director, respectively.

In addition to conspiracy, the defendants are charged with deception in order to collect $2,822,860.

They defrauded Holly Ngo, a citizen of the United States, while pretending to be American medical professionals stranded in Afghanistan, claims the EFCC.

Four men were charged by the government: Dennis, Monday, Omage Emmanuel Omole, and Ekhoguagbon Osazuwa Patrick, also known as Patrick Paul, who is still at large (deceased).

The alleged fraud was allegedly committed between January 2021 and September 2021 in Abuja, according to the five-count indictment.
