The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has officially declared an Abuja-based businesswoman, Halimat Tejuosho, wanted. This development follows an investigation into a serious alleged fraud case involving the obtaining of money by false pretence. The 41-year-old founder of Haleems Integrated Services Limited is currently being sought by the anti-graft agency. On Monday, the commission published a notice signed by its spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, urging the public to assist in locating her.

Ms Tejuosho, who is well-known in Abuja social circles, lived at Aso Grove Estate in the Maitama Extension. Beyond her business interests, she is a prominent political figure and serves as a zonal leader for the City Boys Movement. This is not the first time she has faced legal scrutiny; she was previously interrogated by officials in 2025 regarding an alleged fraud case. At that time, reports suggested she was involved in a scam related to fake government contracts and federal appointments.

Her accusers claim she used forged documents to deceive people, promising them lucrative roles that did not exist. Despite her past denials of wrongdoing, the EFCC is now intensifying its search. They have asked anyone with information to visit their offices in cities like Lagos, Port Harcourt, or Kaduna. The agency is determined to bring clarity to this alleged fraud case and ensure accountability. Citizens can also report her whereabouts to the nearest police station. As the investigation deepens, the commission remains committed to protecting the public from financial scams and deceptive business practices.
