Ola Olukoyede, the chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Agency (EFCC), has urged CSOs across the country to collaborate with the agency in advancing its anti-corruption initiatives at the local level.
Olukoyede made the request in a statement released by EFCC Spokesperson Dele Oyewole on Friday in Abuja.

In his view, the EFCC’s efforts to create synergies with other interest groups have made involvement with CSOs essential, and the success narrative of the commission would be impossible to tell without the cooperation and support of CSOs.
In light of the aforementioned, I promise to give our symbiotic partnership more vigor and urgency.
He said, “More than ever, the EFCC will be depending on you to assist in igniting and maintaining goodwill between us and the public we serve.”
The EFCC chief said this through Aliyu Yunusa, the Assistant Commander of the EFCC for Sokoto Zonal.
He pointed out that the participants were better positioned to reach the general public and disseminate the anti-corruption message.
He claimed that one of their advantages was their ability to speak against corruption by utilizing regional languages.
“We welcome constructive criticism, as the EFCC is among the most professionally run and well-tasked agencies in Nigeria today,” he stated.
