The Katsina State Government has declared Friday, April 12th, 2024 as a public holiday to commemorate Eid-el-Fitr.
On Tuesday, the state governor, Dikko Radda, issued a statement that was distributed by the state Commissioner for Information and Culture, Bala Zango, announcing the extension of the holiday.
The governor highlighted that the extra day off is intended to allow state personnel to fully participate in the Sallah festivities with their family. This decision is consistent with the Federal Government’s extending of the Eid-el-Fitr public holidays to Thursday, April 11.
The statement headed “Ed-Fitr: Gov Dikko Radda announces Friday, April 12th, 2024, work-free day” reads, “His Excellency the Executive Governor of Katsina State, Dikko Umar Radda, has declared Friday, April 12, 2024, a work-free day.
