CP Akeem Yuusuf, Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, has ordered watertight security across the state to ensure peaceful Eid-El-Kabir celebrations.
The order was issued by the CP on Monday during the State’s monthly conference with senior officers, Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Tactical and operational Commanders.
He directed the Officers to boost up security in advance of the celebration to avoid any untoward incidents in their Area of Responsibility (AOR) during the period and beyond.
He also charged all Divisional Police Officers with putting in place steps to ensure a calm and trouble-free celebration.
They are also directed to use additional operational assets to conduct confidence-building and crime-prevention patrols on key highways, residential and vulnerable areas, places of worship, and other locations of interest.
While congratulating the Muslim Faithfuls in the State on the occasion of the 2023 Eid-El Kabir celebration, the CP reaffirms the Command’s level of preparedness and commitment to working in collaboration with other Security services to ensure adequate security of lives and properties while denying space for criminal elements to thrive in and around the State.
The Commissioner urges the good people of Kogi State to remain security vigilant throughout the period, while also requesting the collaboration of all law-abiding individuals in order to reduce criminal activity in the state.
