The Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) delayed presidential and national assembly elections for the impacted polling units in the four registration zones of the Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
The beginning of the exercise was delayed by the late arrival of election officers and voting supplies.
The commission rescheduled it for Sunday morning at 10 a.m., but the vote didn’t start until 11:50 a.m.
Voter accreditation and voting are taking place simultaneously under a high level of security.
Voters are queued up to cast their ballots at the Fakulu Health Centre polling unit 19, Isiogu Town Square polling unit 17, and Fakulubo Hall polling unit 14.
At polling units 15 and 18 at Ogriga Town Hall and Fakulu Primary School (East), a like situation was seen.
Also, it was discovered that voting and accreditation have begun at Ayemeze polling place 004.
