With the Ember Months fast approaching Ag. IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun took charge summoning the brilliant minds of the Strategic Police Managers. This elite team including Deputy Inspectors-General Assistant Inspectors-General and Commissioners of Police convened to assess our security landscape and delve into critical security concerns. A resounding applause filled the room echoing the steady decline in crime rates nationwide thanks to the unwavering dedication of our valiant officers backed by incredible support from the government and the public.
In a momentous ceremony the decorated Deputy Inspector-General Bello Makwashi signified the power of unity and collaboration among our Police Officers and their unwavering commitment to upholding law and order. The IGP expressed heartfelt gratitude recognizing their pivotal role in keeping us safe while ensuring that every citizen can live without fear.
Looking ahead to the off-season gubernatorial elections in Bayelsa Imo and Kogi the IGP left no room for doubt. He pledged adequate deployments and stringent security measures guaranteeing an electoral process free from intimidation or unrest. With an unyielding commitment to democracy the IGP called upon all stakeholders to synchronize their efforts with the Police forging a path towards peaceful fair and free elections.
