The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has urged Nigerians to “remain patient” with President Bola Tinubu’s administration as the nation confronts challenging times.
In a statement released on Monday by his spokesperson, Moses Olafare, the monarch expressed empathy for the hardships faced by many citizens. He emphasized that the current situation represents a significant testing period for the country.
Ahead of his seven-day seclusion, during which he will pray and connect with his ancestors, Oba Ogunwusi underscored the importance of this sacred rite. He views this time as an opportunity to seek divine intervention for Nigeria’s well-being, as well as to pray for the Oduduwa lineage and humanity at large.
