Babatunji Wusu –
The well-known Christian television network Emmanuel TV, which was owned by the late Prophet TB Joshua, has announced that it is leaving the MultiChoice platforms, specifically DStv and GOtv.
The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN), the church of TB Joshua, likewise withdrew its TV station from other pay-TV providers.
According to reports, MultiChoice has also verified the development and stated that Emmanuel TV will no longer be available on DStv and GOtv bundles as of January 17, 2024.
This decision coincides with the release of a contentious three-part documentary by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) alleging that the late TB Joshua sexually abused and tortured his students.
As you may remember, TB Joshua launched Emmanuel TV in 2006.
Through its YouTube channel, which has grown to become one of the most subscribed Christian ministry YouTube channels worldwide, the channel has since acquired popularity and broadened its reach.
On June 5, 2021, TB Joshua did, however, die away.
Nevertheless, the BBC started a groundbreaking investigation into the late preacher and his church, speaking with at least thirty purported former SCOAN employees and members.
The three-part series revealed the secretive lifestyle of the now-deceased SCOAN founder.
It included gruesome stories of fraud, rape, abuse, and staged healings. The BBC was told by sources that the church knew about all the charges but never investigated them. They stated that the sexual offense occurred more than 20 years ago.
A section of the film showed how SCOAN concealed information from its members regarding the 2014 collapse of one of the guesthouses owned by the church. Members were frequently shown a little film on Emmanuel TV that showed the building with what looked to be an aircraft flying over it.
