The champion of the Frauen-Bundesliga announced on Thursday that Magdalena Eriksson, Chelsea’s captain, and Pernille Harder, a midfielder, have signed three-year contracts with Bayern Munich.
The Women’s Community Shield, four FA Cups, two League Cups, and five league championships were all won by Swedish defender Eriksson during his six years with the WSL champion Chelsea.
Harder, 30, moved from VfL Wolfsburg to Chelsea in 2020 for more than 250,000 pounds (315,525 USD), which was the then-record transfer sum for a female football player.
Alexander Straus, the head coach of Bayern, said in a release that Pernille and Magdalena are “two top players with a lot of experience.”
They’ve competed in numerous major competitions, both at the club level and internationally with their national teams, and they’ve won a number of trophies.
“They are the ideal addition to our group and add even higher caliber to our excellent group. They’re going to advance us. This excites us much.
Both players, who are a couple, announced last month that they would be leaving Chelsea once their contracts expired and that they had been connected to numerous prestigious European teams.
