The Federal High Court in Maitama, has on Thursday, struck out the N500 million suit filed by the former spokesman, Ali Konduga.
The suit was struck out by Justice Samira Bature following an application for discontinuance filed by the counsel to Konduga’s , Mohammed Tola, dated October 7.
According to Bature, the respondents had earlier notified that the court had no jurisdiction to handle the case and with the motion for discontinuance the suit was struck out.
It could be recall that Konduga has dragged the Attorney General of the Federation, Minister of Justice and the Director General, Department of Security Services to court over alleged breach of his fundamental rights.
The counsel for the Attorney General of the Federation, Mrs Clementine Nebo did not object to the notice of withdrawal but said that proper motion should be presented to the court.
However, Konduga ‘s counsel prayed for a short adjournment to enable them to file a motion for withdrawal.
Konduga through his counsel, has earlier, filed a suit, alleging that he was kept in detention for an extra three years after serving his three-year jail term before he was released in 2016.
