In a shocking incident, a team of Nigerian Army personnel in Lagos State around the Sangotedo, reportedly employed by a local landowner, Mr. Ifeanyi, to secure his land, encountered unexpected resistance on arrival. The tension arose after the soldiers discovered that the signboard marking the land’s boundaries had been mysteriously removed, raising suspicion of trespassing or tampering.

In an exclusive video obtained by The Premier, what initially seemed like a routine patrol escalated into a full-blown confrontation. The footage shows a group of men, allegedly encroachers, subjected to intense questioning by the soldiers, who appear determined to extract answers about the missing signboard.

In the video, the men, under apparent duress, begin singing a faint, sorrowful tune, interrupted by one man’s frantic cries, “I don’t know anything, oh!” as the physical punishment ensues. Despite his pleas, the flogging continues, highlighting the high tension and severity of the incident.

The Nigerian Army is yet to say anything on this condemnable act and Nigerians reacting to this ugly development have called on the Army Authorities ( The current Chief of Army Staff (Acting) is Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede)  to fish out the personnel involved in this inhumane act. They wonder if the Nigerian Army has suddenly descended below status to start engaging in land dispute matters.
