The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has called on residents to assist in identifying a young boy involved in a suspected hit-and-run incident in Abuja.

According to a statement released on December 12, 2025, by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the victim — a male estimated to be between 12 and 15 years old — was discovered unconscious around the Apo Roundabout transformer at about 8:00 p.m. on December 10, 2025.

Two Good Samaritans, Mr. Naziru Ibrahim and Mr. Ibrahim Mohammed, found the boy lying helplessly on the roadside and quickly transported him to Sahad Hospital in Apo Resettlement, where he is currently receiving medical care. The police confirmed that he remains unconscious, making it difficult to establish his identity.

The FCT Command stated that investigations are underway to trace the boy’s family or guardians but urged the public to come forward with any information that may help identify him.

Residents with useful information are encouraged to contact the FCT Police Public Relations Officer on 07038979348 or report to the nearest police station.

The Command reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding lives and appealed for public cooperation to ensure the young victim is reunited with his family.
