The Federal Capital Territory Police Command, has vowed to apprehend all criminal elements within the territory.

The commissioner pledged to eradicate criminal activities of those violating the ban on the use of tinted vehicles and covered number plates, warning those guilty, to desist from the act.

He assured residents of the city that the Command is providing adequate security for the protection of lives and properties particularly in the ‘Ember months when criminal activities are believed to be on the increase.

The Commissioner of Police, CP, Babaji Sunday disclosed during a press conference at the command’s headquarters, Abuja on Tuesday.

He said, “I want to sound a note of warning to criminal elements within FCT to desist from their nefarious activities or face the full wrath of the law. Also, I wish to reiterate the ban on the use of tinted vehicles and covered number plates within the FCT, as all violators will be arrested and prosecuted accordingly.

“I want to use this medium to reassure FCT residents of the command’s unwavering commitment toward the protection of lives and property within the Federal Capital Territory.

“In addition, I wish to express my profound gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police IGP. Usman Alkali Baba, psc (+), NPM, fdc, the Honorable Minister of the FCT, Mallam Muhammad Musa Bello for their unflinching support towards the FCT command.

“I also want to appreciate Gentlemen of the Press and all those who volunteered useful information to the command in its fight against crime within the FCT”.
