On Thursday night, a small fire broke out in the server room of the Federal Capital Territory Administration’s (FCTA) ICT Unit.
At around 8 o’clock in the evening, an electrical power surge caused the fire event.
After around 13 minutes and 45 seconds of combined work, the FCT Fire Service, Federal Fire Service, and the security guards on duty were able to promptly control the problem, which had partially affected the server room.
The Administration reassured its clients that the incident will not, in any way, interfere with its regular operations because there is sufficient redundancy, according to a statement sent to newsmen by the FCT’s Director of Information and Communication, Muhammad Hazat Sule.
confirming that there is no reason for concern because neither the ICT Unit’s nor the Administration’s regular activities will be hampered by the occurrence.
The Federal Fire Service personnel and brave officers of the FCT were applauded by the administration for their quick response and action.
