Babatunji Wusu –
The unsettling deaths of their colleagues in Lagos State have prompted concerns from the Medical Guild.
At least fifteen doctors have passed away in the state in the previous six months, according to Dr. Sa’eid Ahmad, the Chairman of the Guild, who made this observation on Sunday during a news conference in Lagos.
Speaking about the next Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference of the guild, Ahmad revealed this.
He urged the Lagos State Government to put healthcare workers’ lives and health first in his speech.
Another was apprehended while traveling to Makurdi, armed with 110 bullets and four fully loaded magazines stashed inside a rice mudu.
“Abuja was to receive the final soldier. He had fourteen 7.62mm bullets on him when he was taken into custody. The military source was quoted by the PUNCH as adding, “The suspects are in custody pending additional investigation.”
Maj. Gen. Buba Edward, the Director of Defence Media Operations, could not be reached for comment, the media platform said, and his calls were not returned.
Moreover, it stated that at the time this report was filed, he had not replied to a message about the issue.
