The distribution of relief supplies to the nine Local Government Areas hit by the flood has begun, according to the Kogi State Government.
Lokoja, Kogi, Ajaokuta, Ibaji, Idah, Ofu, Igalamela-Odolu, Bassa, and Omala are the local governments that are impacted.
The National Emergency Management Agency gave the items to the State (NEMA).
Vegetable oil, red oil, beans, gari, rice, and tomato paste are among the materials.
Chief Victor Omofaiye, the Commissioner of Environment, cautioned officials against diverting the supplies in a Friday interview with reporters after watching the distribution procedure.
He made a request for increased assistance from the federal government, corporate bodies, and wealthy people to lessen the victims’ pain.
Mr. Margret Akuh, the Kogi State Emergency Management Agency’s (SEMA) acting executive secretary, was also present to observe the drill.
