Ademola Adeleke, Governor of Osun State, has denied snubbing the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, at an occasion.

e snubbing Ooni when the king extended his hand to meet him.

However, the governor returned to greet the king, which many saw as insulting to the Ooni.

In response to the internet anger, the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, alleged in a statement that agents of the opposition doctored the video.

Alimi asked the public to disregard the doctored footage.

“The attention of the Osun State Government has been drawn to a doctored video being circulated on social media by agents of the opposition and fake news peddlers,” the statement said.

“Governor Ademola Adeleke and HRM Oba Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, Ooni of Ife, enjoy the best of relations, as evidenced by the cordial exchange of pleasantries at the Palace of Osemawe of Ondo at Senator Olubiyi Ajagunla’s coronation.”

“We are by this medium appealing to members of the public to disregard the doctored video in its entirety while we have uploaded the original videos for public consumption.”
