In order to attend the Fifth Mid-Year Coordination Meeting (5thMYCM) of the African Union, the Regional Economic Communities, the Regional Mechanisms, and the African Union Member States, President Bola Tinubu left Abuja on Saturday, July 15, for Nairobi, Kenya.
ECOWAS Chairperson Tinubu will attend the mid-year summit on Sunday, July 16, together with Heads of State and Government, AU Member-State Foreign Ministers, and other high-ranking officials.
According to a statement made by Dele Alake, Special Adviser to the President, the President will present a report on the state of regional integration in ECOWAS that will highlight initiatives taken by ECOWAS institutions, member states, the private sector, and other stakeholders during the review period to further integration through trade, freedom of movement for people, investment promotion, infrastructure development, peace, security, and stability.
