FORMER GOVERNOR IBRAHIM SHEHU SHEMA DEFECTS TO THE APC

Barrister Ibrahim Shehu Shema, a former governor of Katsina State, has formally defected from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress.

The former governor officially defected on Thursday.

Remember that during the 2023 elections, Shema backed the PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, but the APC Governorship candidate in Katsina, Dikko Radda.

There have been allegations of his impending defection following a meeting with the APC National Chairman and immediate past Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, at his Abuja home in August 2023.

According to reports, Shema paid Ganduje a visit at his Abuja home, accompanied with other of his supporters and Katsina APC members.
