The Bauchi Emirate Council has removed Alhaji (Dr) Muhammadu Bello Kirfi from his position as Council Member and traditional tittle of Wazirin Bauchi for disloyalty and disrespect to State Governor Bala Mohammed.
The Bauchi Emirate Council stated this in a letter dated January 3, 2023. Remember that Kirfi was suspended as Wazirin Bauchi by the Emir of Bauchi, Dr Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, in 2017, but was later reinstated by Governor Mohammed, who submitted the letter of reinstatement at Kirfi’s Bauchi palace on August 5, 2022.
Kirfi was Minister of State for Foreign Affairs under President Shehu Shagari and Minister of Special Duties under former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
