The All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has received the support of an ex-militant organization operating under the auspices of the Niger Delta Liberation Movement.

The group made a commitment to “remove any hurdle that will prevent Tinubu’s triumph in the February 25 presidential election” at the conclusion of a meeting that lasted longer than six hours on Friday in Egbema, Delta State.

Amabiri Andabiri, a spokesperson for the group, informed journalists that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu was preferred because of “his political constancy unlike other political gladiators who go into hiding in other countries after lost elections.”

The group stated that only Tinubu was known to be a full resident among the people in the location they had previously controlled or elected, either positively or negatively.

“We, the Niger Delta Liberation Movement with over one million registered Niger Delta youth members, hereby endorse Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for President come February 25,” Andabiri declared.

“This group has been on the ground guarding the length and breadth of the Niger Delta region since the amnesty in the year 2009, when the defunct Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta and other ex-militant groups abandoned the cause of the Niger Delta and accepted the dubious amnesty programme.

“We came together today and decided to use all of our resources to ensure that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu wins the presidency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on February 25.

This is so that Asiwaju won’t behave like other political gladiators who flee their home nations after losing elections.

The group added that Tinubu’s backing came from having an in-law from the Delta State village of Ayakoromor.

The elder brother of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is also wed to an Ijaw woman from Ayakoromor in Delta State, in addition to the fact that he married an Itsekiri woman. Even Seyi Tinubu, the son of Asiwaju, is wed to an Igbo woman from the South-East.

We consider Tinubu to be a suitable candidate for president because of his ability and the support of the people surrounding him. Thus, they are our people because we are related by marriage.

The organization said, “We will also mobilize millions of his fans to cast their votes for him since this group is in talks with ex-MEND and other leading militant groups to unite and work for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s election.
