Dipo Fasina, also known as Jingo, a former leader of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), was located in Turkey after going missing at the airport.

Fasina was reported missing on July 1st, a Saturday. Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, the current president of ASUU, confirmed this incidence.

The 76-year-old is said to have missed his connecting aircraft out of Istanbul, Turkey, while his route to Algeria.

Prof. Fasina was reported missing days later. On Sunday, the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) released a statement announcing his discovery.

NiDCOM applauded the efforts of the Nigerian High Commission in Turkey in finding the professor.

NiDCOM expressed its gratitude to the Nigerian ambassador to Turkey, who quickly dispatched personnel to the airport to physically find the man in the incredibly crowded and large Istanbul Airport.
