When entertainment business Multichoice revealed information about the much awaited special “Big Brother Titans” TV reality show, which would include housemates from South Africa and Nigeria, the setting was wonderful and fun-filled.
The business said that the reality show would debut on January 15, 2023, and the winner will get $100,000 at a media meeting in Lagos this past week (over N50m).
The BBTitans version will continue for 72 days, and the winner will take home a prize of $100,000 cash, according to John Ugbe, Chief Executive Officer of MultiChoice Nigeria, who also announced the start of the show and prize money.
“Big Brother Titans” is a special edition of the popular Big Brother program, he explained. The two television phenomenon BBNaija and BB Mzansi have been combined in this special edition. To give African entertainment consumers a spectacle of dramatic drama unlike anything they have ever seen, we are combining housemates from two massive countries—Nigeria and South Africa—under one roof. We warn our audience to brace themselves for the biggest TV takeover, which will begin on January 15. It promises a ton of South African swag, banter, romance, and everything in between in addition to plenty of Nigerian swag.
“The winner of this battle of the titans will walk away with $100,000 in cash and other incredible rewards. The DStv and GOtv audience will be able to vote to retain their favorite housemates on the show as normal. After 72 days, the winner will also be chosen by votes cast by African viewers.
Flutterwave, Bamboo, and Lotto Star are the sponsors of the BB Titans edition, which will take place in South Africa. Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, a well-known host on BBNaija, and Lawrence Maleka, a host on Mzansi, will co-host this first season.
Additionally, viewers in the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, and 45 other Sub-Saharan African nations will be able to watch Big Brother Titans on Showmax.
