The five disgruntled governors of the People’s Democratic Party, often known as the G5, have landed in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, to launch the re-election campaign of one of its members, Seyi Makinde.

Other members of the G5 led by Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike are Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom, and Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

The G5 landed at the campaign launch site at precisely 1 p.m.

Meanwhile, key highways leading to Mapo Hall are congested with party supporters from all 33 Local Government Areas that comprise the state, and security personnel are working hard to keep the mob under control.
