Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk has cast fresh doubt over Victor Osimhen’s availability for Thursday’s UEFA Champions League showdown with Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Nigerian striker is nursing an ankle ligament injury picked up while on international duty against Rwanda last weekend. The setback sidelined him from Galatasaray’s 2-0 Turkish Super Lig victory over Eyüpspor on Saturday, where goals from Mauro Icardi and Yunus Akgün secured the points.

Speaking after that win, Buruk admitted Osimhen’s recovery remains uncertain. “Osimhen’s condition will be clear in a few days. He has pain, and we will see if he can play with it against Frankfurt,” the coach said.

Osimhen’s potential absence would be a major blow to Galatasaray as they prepare for a crucial away fixture in Europe’s elite competition.
