On Friday, police announced that a cooking gas cylinder explosion at a wedding reception left five people dead and more than 40 injured.
Anil Kayal, a police official, stated that the explosion happened in a Rajasthani village as the wedding guests were congregating for lunch.
In the Jodhpur district, a portion of the house fell due to the explosion’s effect, according to Kayal.
The gas cylinder was found in a storage area, where it leaked, caught fire, and exploded, according to the police’s initial investigations.
One person died from injuries in the hospital, while four others perished right there and then.
As several of the victims had third-degree burns and were in serious condition, Kayal warned that the death toll might increase.
