Gateway United Appoints Festus Allen as Head Coach

Gateway United Football Club has appointed seasoned tactician Festus Allen as its new head coach. The announcement was made during a ceremony held on Thursday at the Otunba Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu-Ode.

Allen signed a one-year contract and will be supported by Shakiru Lawal as assistant coach 1, Emmanuel Bamidele as assistant coach 2, and Michael Soniregun as the goalkeeper coach.

Ogun State Commissioner for Sports Development, Wasiu Isiaka, urged the newly assembled technical team to excel in their roles. “This is a transformative journey,” Isiaka remarked. “You have the chance to inspire, build a legacy, and leave an indelible mark on our community.”

Before joining Gateway United, Allen managed Ijebu United last season.
