Genoa players have taken a personal approach to boosting season ticket sales, phoning supporters who had not yet renewed for the new campaign.

One 75-year-old fan told defender Stefano Sabelli the late evening kick-offs were a concern. Sabelli humorously promised to have the games moved to 3 PM.
