John Mahama, the President-Elect of Ghana, paid a courtesy visit to President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, as confirmed by Tinubu’s Special Assistant on Social Media, Dada Olusegun. The visit took place on Tuesday, shortly after Mahama’s victory in Ghana’s December 7 general election.

During the visit, the two leaders discussed enhancing collaboration between Nigeria and Ghana, as well as promoting stability within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). President Tinubu had previously congratulated Mahama on his electoral win in a telephone call, expressing optimism that Mahama’s return to leadership would positively impact the region.

Mahama, who served as Ghana’s Vice President from 2009 to 2012 and has held various parliamentary and ministerial roles, is set to take office again after winning the election. The two leaders look forward to fostering stronger ties between their nations in the coming years.
