Popular TV presenter Rufai Oseni has come under fire from Tersoo Kula, Chief Press Secretary to Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia, for his recent treatment of guests on the show.

On Monday during a presentation at the TV station, Oseni got into a fight with Jesutega Onokpasa, a prominent member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

During the conversation, Oseni disputed with Onokpasa regarding his contribution regarding President Bola Tinubu’s elimination of fuel subsidies and the nation’s overall economic state.

But the development has led some APC administration supporters to accuse Oseni of partiality.

Kula expressed his opinions on the matter on Facebook, accusing the host of lacking a sense of journalistic ethics.

“A responsible citizen of this country does not need to honor any program on Arise TV that Rufai will be anchoring,” the author said.

“He sadly lacks basic manners, courtesy, and the principles of the profession and is blind to ethics.”

“Just Sit Down and Shut Up,” Yul Edochie Slams Rufai Oseni
In the meantime, Rufai Oseni, a Nigerian journalist, has come under fire on social media from Nollywood star Yul Edochie for his contentious interaction with Onokpasa.

Yul remarked on his official Instagram page that Rufai, who was observed driving in a BRT lane in Lagos, did not have the moral standing to converse with honest people.

Among other things, the movie star calls Oseni a disrespectful person and says he needs to sit down and shut up.

The Nollywood actor said that Rufai acts like a deity on television by making his guests feel uncomfortable and projecting the image of being the most concerned and loving person in Nigeria.

He went on to say that Rufai should go study how to be a journalist since he is not superior to any other Nigerian.

He said: “My friend shut up and sit down! I’m talking to you! You have no right, you don’t have any moral justification to talk where people with integrity are talking! You’re talking nonsense on national TV, you’re a very disrespectful person, you have no respect for the laws of this country! In fact if someone like you becomes president, you will wipe out Nigerians. Are you not the same person that was caught driving on BRT lane? You could not even apologise, if not because somebody had a video, that was when you came on national TV to apologise. This is what you do, imagine the other ones that we’ve not seen before. Who taught you journalism? The first thing they should have taught you is to respect your guest

“You’re not better than anybody out there. You’re a very disrespectful person and you should go and learn journalism, you are insulting people on national TV.s.

“Same Rufai Oseni that is insulting people, acting like God on national TV, making your guests very uncomfortable, you dey form like na you get Nigeria, you’re the most concerned citizen, you’re more concerned than all of us, my friend shut up! You have no moral justification to talk to anybody on TV that way because you’re not better than any Nigerian.”
