According to Sani, opposition members are reportedly mobilizing vulnerable individuals to join the ongoing protests. He has urged those who are dissatisfied to wait for the next general elections to “change the government through the ballot.”
Sani criticized certain protest leaders, alleging that they have abandoned the demonstrations, leaving children to take their place instead of leading from the front. Reflecting on his own past as an activist during the military era, he recalled leading protests against the regime and being detained at times.
Sani also mentioned that some members of his party approached him with suggestions to organize counter-protests, but he declined, citing his respect for the right to protest—something he exercised himself during the military regime.
Additionally, Sani called on Nigerians to give President Bola Tinubu time to implement economic reforms.
