Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara has taken a significant step to support the judiciary by presenting official vehicles to magistrates. This gesture was made during the Opening Ceremony of the 2024/2025 Legal Year and a Rededication Service at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul’s, Anglican Communion, Diobu, Port Harcourt, on Thursday.
The governor also urged judges within the Rivers State judiciary to remain impartial and resilient in the face of political pressures or intimidation from influential figures. He called on them to continue their work with unwavering dedication, ensuring that justice prevails in every case.
During the event, Governor Fubara reaffirmed his commitment to upholding justice and safeguarding the interests of Rivers State and its citizens. He emphasized that his duty to defend justice is a responsibility he cannot shirk, having taken an oath to do so as the state’s leader.
