Gunmen Abduct Six Worshippers in Ondo Church Attack

Unknown gunmen have abducted six worshippers at the Celestial Church of Christ in Uso, Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, in a fresh incident of insecurity in the state.

The attack occurred in the early hours of Wednesday while members were holding a church service.

According to the spokesperson of the Ondo State Police Command, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, the incident happened at about 12:50 a.m. on February 25.

Jimoh confirmed in a statement that the assailants whisked the victims away to an unknown destination.

Police authorities say efforts are ongoing to rescue the abducted worshippers and apprehend the perpetrators.
