GUNMEN KIDNAP BENUE’S INFORMATION COMMISSIONER, JUST-IN

Matthew Abo, the Benue State Commissioner for Information, Culture, and Tourism, has been kidnapped by unidentified gunmen.

On Sunday night about 8:00 pm, the event took place in his Zaki-Biam home.

The gunmen arrived on four motorbikes, according to an eyewitness who did not want his name used, and they took Abo to an unidentified location.

He claimed that one of the gunmen forced the Commissioner to sit behind the driver of one of the motorcycles while the other shooter swung him around.

The kidnappers later connected with a family member and made a call-back promise, but as of early Monday morning, they had not done so.

Additionally, as of the time of this report, the Benue State Government has not yet responded to the occurrence.
