Harrysong, a singer, was detained for allegedly defaming Soso Soberekon, a music executive.

Harry Okiri, also known as Harrysong, a Nigerian singer, was detained by the police in Lagos State after he recently claimed that music entrepreneur Soso Soberekon had attempted to assassinate him.

As a result of a petition from Soberekon, he was taken into custody on Tuesday, October 11.

His detention will allow the command to expedite its probe into his assassination claim, according to Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesperson, who revealed this in a conversation with newsmen.

“We launched an investigation after Soso Soberekon submitted a petition against him. The arrest is therefore related to the investigation, he explained.

This occurs just a few days after a recording executive sued the artist for N500 million.
