The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Abuja has granted bail to Abdulsalami Hudu, a co-defendant of former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, in the sum of N300 million. Hudu, who is facing money laundering charges alongside Bello, was admitted to bail by Justice Maryann Anenih under stringent conditions.
In addition to the N300 million bail, Hudu is required to produce two sureties with properties valued at no less than N300 million, located within the court’s jurisdiction, particularly in Maitama, Abuja. The title documents for these properties must be verified by the court registrar.
Hudu has also been ordered to remain in Kuje Correctional Centre until the bail conditions are met. He is prohibited from leaving Nigeria without the court’s permission and must deposit his travel documents with the court. Furthermore, Hudu and his sureties are required to submit two recent passport photographs to the court.
