Nollywood actress and digital content creator Onwuson Faith Ifeoma, popularly known as Honeypot, has stirred fresh conversations around intimacy, wealth, and cultural values, declaring that prolonged sexual activity is not necessary for her satisfaction.
Honeypot made the remarks during an appearance on The Honest Bunch Podcast, where she addressed prevailing social expectations within Igbo culture and challenged common assumptions about relationships and masculinity.
Speaking on how wealth is perceived, the actress argued that a man’s financial success is best judged by the wellbeing of his wife rather than his personal appearance. She explained that modest dressing does not equate to lack, stressing that genuine prosperity reflects in how a woman is cared for.
According to her, even when a woman is financially independent, a man still bears responsibility for her comfort and welfare, noting that this expectation should not be mistaken for ignorance or dependency.
Beyond financial responsibility, Honeypot also expanded the conversation to intimacy, insisting that affection goes beyond sexual intercourse. She described physical closeness—such as kissing, cuddling, and playful contact—as essential expressions of love.
When asked to choose between a wealthy man with poor sexual performance and a physically fit man with strong bedroom skills, the actress made her position clear, insisting that sex ranks low on her list of priorities.
She openly stated that she can go for months without sex and firmly rejected any association with hookups, emphasising that no one can credibly accuse her of exchanging sex for money. According to Honeypot, a brief moment of intimacy is sufficient for her, reinforcing her stance that emotional connection and respect matter more than sexual endurance.
Her comments have since sparked widespread debate online, touching on issues of cultural values, gender roles, intimacy, and modern relationships.
